As a university research group, the Laboratorio Olfattometrico s always engaged in researching and developing new solutions related to the world of odour, in accordance with the needs and problems of the industrial world.
Currently, we are working on:
- Quantification of fugitive emissions of volatile organic compounds
- Characterisation of complex sources, such as floating roof tanks
- Continuous monitoring and real-time olfactory impact
- Calculation of new EROMs (European Reference Odour Mass)
- Development of sampling systems
- Toxicological impact of industrial odour emissions
- Development of innovative methods for modelling sub-hourly fluctuation phenomena
- Use of innovative tools and optical methods for measuring volatile organic compounds
